Bratislava, 4 July (TASR) - A prosecutor of the Prosecutor-General’s Office filed an indictment on Friday with the Specialized Criminal Court against Daniel B. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons], who is currently in custody, on charges related to extremist criminal activity, PG spokesperson Jana Tokolyova confirmed to TASR on Friday. The indictment covers 26 attacks described in 12 separate counts - including the felony of expressing sympathy for a movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms; the felony of distributing extremist materials combined with the misdemeanor of expressing such sympathy, as well as the felony of distributing extremist materials alone. Additional charges include the misdemeanor of inciting national, racial, and ethnic hatred; a repeated offense of dangerous online harassment motivated by hatred against an individual’s perceived nationality, religion, or sexual orientation; and repeated dangerous online harassment combined with the misdemeanor of expressing support for a movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms. Daniel B., who had previously been the subject of three arrest warrants, was extradited from the United Kingdom to Slovakia under strict security measures at the end of January. In late April, the Slovak Supreme Court put him in a pre-trial custody due to concerns that he might continue his criminal activity. mf
