Trnava, 4 July (TASR) - Alignment of local government legislation is a prerequisite for stability and fairness and the law on oversight activities in municipalities must be part of these activities, the chief controllers of self-governing regions have agreed on this with Interior Ministry State Secretary and government proxy for local government Michal Kalinak in Trnava, TASR has learnt from Interior Ministry spokesperson Matej Neumann.

Bratislava, 4 July (TASR) - Neither the coalition Voice-SD party nor any of its ministers proposed any cuts to local governments, stated Education Minister Tomas Drucker (Voice-SD), stressing that the claim made by Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation Minister Samuel Migal (Independent) that Drucker himself proposed to block €200 million from European funds to local governments is false.

Prague, 4 July (TASR) - Slovak Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) and his Czech counterpart Vlastimil Valek have signed a framework agreement between their two countries on cross-border cooperation concerning emergency medical services, allowing Czech paramedics to be called out to Slovak territory if they can reach an accident site more quickly and vice versa, TASR has learnt.
