Premier Fico Holds Talk with Hungarian President Sulyok at Government Office

Bratislava, 3 July (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) met Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok at the Government Office in Bratislava on Thursday, the office's press and information department told TASR on the same day, adding that during the meeting the two confirmed the excellent level of Slovak-Hungarian relations.
According to the Government Office, the meeting was held "in a spirit of constructive dialogue, mutual respect and interest in further deepening cooperation between the two neighbouring countries".
In the discussion Fico and Sulyok focused on key areas of bilateral relations, including the economy, infrastructure and cross-border cooperation. Both sides are convinced that good neighbourly relations are the basis for stability and development in central Europe.
"The prime minister expressed appreciation for the openness of the Hungarian president and his interest in building practical and factual cooperation between the Slovak Republic and Hungary. The Slovak premier and the Hungarian president declared their readiness to continue an intensive dialogue at other levels as well," stated the press and information department.
