Bratislava, 2 July (TASR) - It will be extremely warm in Slovakia on Thursday (3 July), up to 38 degrees Celsius in some places, prompting the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) to issue first to third degree alerts against heat across Slovakia. The highest temperatures are expected in the south of the country - in the Podunajska lowland and Hont areas. "We'll update the alerts and the alert level for individual districts according to the latest forecasts this evening and tomorrow morning," the meteorologists posted on a social network. "Occurrence of such high air temperatures is very rare in the season and area and the probability of damage to health and danger to life due to excessive stress on the body in some persons is high," wrote the SHMU. am/mcs
