Bratislava: Tram in Petrzalka to Start Running on New Line on 27 July

Bratislava, 2 July (TASR) - The tram in Bratislava's borough of Petrzalka is to start running on the new tram line on 27 July, when the first passengers will be able to take a ride on it, TASR was told by Bratislava spokesman Peter Bubla on Wednesday. By that time, shelters at public transport stops are to be installed, landscaping along the line is to be completed, sidewalks serving the line, including a pedestrian connection with the Slnecnice quarter and all crossings finished, and the entire cycle path from the terminal stop in Petrzalka to the city centre is to be marked. The date of the tram launch was postponed several times in the past. am/mcs
