Bratislava, 1 July (TASR) - The extra-parliamentary National Coalition has changed its name to the Countryside Party (Strana vidieka in Slovak), its leader and Tourism and Sport Minister Rudolf Huliak (Independent) stated on Tuesday, stressing that the party wants to represent traditional values and especially the traditional agrarian essence of Slovakia.

Bratislava, July 1 (TASR) - The state budget reached a cash deficit of €3.117 billion at the end of June this year, meaning that the state's economic activities improved by €895 million or 22.3 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first half of the year, the Finance Ministry reported on Tuesday.

Bratislava, 1 July (TASR) - Slovakia on Monday (30 June) assumed the rotating annual presidency of the Austerlitz Format (S3: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia) which will last until 30 June 2026, Foreign Ministry's communications department told TASR on Tuesday, adding that the main priorities will be energy security, cooperation in European affairs and the EU's enlargement to include the Western Balkan countries, as well as the development of transport infrastructure, digital transformation and development cooperation.
