Pellegrini Leaves for Croatia, Set to Also Meet with President Milanovic

Bratislava, 1 July (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini has left for Croatia, where he is scheduled to meet with his counterpart Zoran Milanovic, as well as with Parliamentary Chair Gordan Jandrokovic and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, TASR learnt from the President Office's communications department on Tuesday.
During the one-day visit, the presidents are also due to open a Slovak-Croatian business forum on Tuesday.
"This is the first visit of a Slovak head of state to Croatia in eight years and the first official visit in 13 years," said the communications department, adding that the aim of this visit is to confirm the good level of bilateral relations and to promote the development of economic relations. The presidents will also discuss current foreign policy issues.
Pellegrini will also hold talks with Jandrokovic and Plenkovic, with whom he'll debate the expansion and consolidation of cooperation in the economic, energy, defence and security sectors and in the North Atlantic Alliance. Other topics to be discussed will include EU enlargement to the Western Balkans, migration, green transformation and artificial intelligence.
