Bratislava, 30 June (TASR) - A new cycle path will connect the Bratislava borough of Devin with Bratislava, and the city already has land for its construction, however, money is currently being sought to finance it, Transport Minister Jozef Raz (a Smer-SD nominee) and Environment Minister Tomas Taraba (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) posted on a social network of the Transport Ministry on Monday. "Our goal is to build one continuous cycle path from Devin to the end of the Small Carpathian wine route. And as environment minister, I gave my consent today to sign a lease agreement between the land that belongs to the organisations of the Environment Ministry, without which this cycle path can't be built. I think that the huge potential that is also here in the field of tourism can be fulfilled by this," said Taraba. Raz added that the only thing that is currently important for the construction of this cycle route is to find the financial resources from which it will be built. "We're trying to help with the construction of this cycle path, because if we are to move from cars to public transport and towards bicycles, what we need are high-quality and, above all, safe cycle paths that are separated from roads and cars," he stressed. am
