Bratislava, 30 June (TASR) - The new Hunting Act is ready for approval by the government, from where it should go to Parliament, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD) said on Monday on the occasion of the signing of a memorandum on the support for the adoption of this law.
Its new wording should contribute to better and more effective cooperation between all parties concerned.
The head of the Agriculture Ministry highlighted the cooperation of all parties involved, namely hunters, farmers and foresters. "I can say that the preparation wasn't easy, but it was historically different from the past years and decades. For the first time ever, this law wasn't prepared only at the Agriculture Ministry, but in the regions all over Slovakia," stated Takac.
According to the minister, by signing the joint memorandum, the parties want to send a message to MPs who will decide on the adoption of the law. Takac also informed about meetings with opposition political parties, after which he hasn't yet perceived any major objections.
