Bratislava, 29 June (TASR) – A new regular direct flight connection between Bratislava and Copenhagen, Denmark, has been launched.
Flights will operate twice a week, on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The first aircraft from the Danish capital landed in Bratislava on Saturday evening (28 June), according to information provided to TASR by Slovakia Travel.
„Direct air connection with Northern Europe is important to us. It will support inbound tourism not only from Denmark but also, I believe, from other Nordic countries such as Norway and Sweden,” said Matej Fekete, general director of Slovakia Travel.
Bratislava’s M. R. Stefanik Airport has renewed its cooperation with the airline Norwegian. „The carrier last operated flights between Bratislava and Copenhagen in 2012 and 2013. We’ve been working to restore direct air service between the Slovak capital and Northern Europe not only for Slovak travellers, but also for others — and I’m very pleased we’ve succeeded,” said airport head Dusan Novota.
