Bratislava, 26 June (TASR) - Slovakia evacuated more Slovak nationals from the Middle East, Foreign Affairs Ministry's communications department told TASR on Thursday, adding that they were brought to the M.R. Stefanik Airport on Wednesday evening by a government aircraft which departed from Aqaba, Jordan. The evacuees were 22 Slovak citizens and two foreigners. The flight was ensured thanks to close cooperation with the Defence and Interior Ministries. "Following last week's successful three-day evacuation, we've continued to monitor developments in the security situation in the Middle East, which has escalated and necessitated the deployment of another evacuation flight. We've transported today Slovak citizens as well as nationals from partner countries to safety," said Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD). Slovakia has already carried out nine evacuation flights, transporting a total of 248 people, including Slovak nationals and citizens of 25 other countries. am/mcs
