Premier Fico Leaves for EU Summit in Brussels

Bratislava, 26 June (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) left for a regular two-day European Council summit in Brussels on Thursday, TASR learnt from its correspondent. The presidents and prime ministers of the EU27 will discuss several issues at the meeting, including the ongoing war in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East, as well as issues related to European defence and security. The discussions will also focus on economic challenges, particularly strengthening of the European Union's competitiveness. Leaders will also address the issue of migration, the current situation in Moldova, the Western Balkans and other current issues. The premier should return to Slovakia on Friday (27 June). ko
