Sasko: Rough Construction of Vajnory Hospital More or Less Covered

Bratislava, 25 June (TASR) - The rough construction of the new national hospital in Bratislava's borough of Vajnory will be completed by the 2027 general election, Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) declared following the government session on Wednesday. According to Sasko, the finances for its construction have been more or less covered, with €200 million to be refinanced from the budget for the Presov military hospital project. "We've expanded the number of recipients under the recovery plan to include the Presov hospital. It's only about deadlines and the money, which has been allocated for the Presov hospital, will be subsequently transferred to start constructing the Vajnory hospital," said Sasko, adding that the construction should be launched in September. "An excavator will start digging symbolically in September. The first approximately €200 million has thus been covered. Another very similar package will go from the defence spending dual-use programme," said the minister. ko/mcs
