Bratislava/Spisska Bela, 25 June (TASR) - The Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR) has denied media reports about the planned removal of the child from his or her mother by the social and legal protection of children and social guardianship authority in connection with the tragic incident that happened in Spisska Bela on Tuesday (24 June), where the police are investigating the murder of a child, UPSVaR press department informed TASR on Wednesday.
"The family affected by this tragedy hasn't been registered with the social and legal protection of children and social guardianship authority, no action was taken against it by this authority and it wasn't under its supervision, either," said UPSVaR, adding that they will fully cooperate in clarifying the circumstances of the tragic event. At the same time, the centre expressed its regret and sincere condolences to the bereaved.
A woman came to one of the police departments in the Kezmarok district on Tuesday, claiming that she had killed her minor child. The police detained her and launched criminal prosecution for the particularly serious crime of murder in the case.
