Government to Deal with Reconstruction of State Buildings

Bratislava, 25 June (TASR) - Reconstruction of five state buildings with the total area of 22,346 square metres should be launched this year, according to the the 2025 Recovery Plan for Relevant Buildings due to be discussed by the government at its regular session on Wednesday. These include one building of the Justice Ministry, three buildings falling under the Interior Ministry and one under the Finance Ministry. The cost of their reconstruction is estimated at €22.9 million. The Interior Ministry proposes to reimburse the expenses of an NGO that helped and provided basic needs to Ukrainian refugees at the Humanitarian Centre in Gabcikovo. The sum of reimbursement should be €338,581. The Cabinet should also deal with provision of one-off financial aid to people affected by the floods totalling €201,800. The money should go to residents of municipalities falling under the district offices of Komarno (Nitra region), Malacky (Bratislava region) and Skalica (Trnava region). The agenda of the session also includes the report on Slovakia's development aid. According to the report, Slovakia provided development aid amounting to almost €184.9 million last year. ko
