Bratislava, 19 June (TASR) - The joint exhibition space at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan, which includes the Slovak exhibition, has reached a major milestone by surpassing one million visitors, TASR learnt from the national tourism promotion agency Slovakia Travel on Thursday.
Slovakia is showcased in Exhibition Hall Common C, one of the most popular halls at the Expo. The joint exhibition space also features ten other countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, San Marino, Ukraine, Israel, Gabon, Guatemala, Panama, and Uruguay.
“The World Expo is an excellent platform for showcasing countries. Through our national exhibition, we present visitors with our country’s [Slovakia's] unique features and characteristics, spark their curiosity, and significantly support inbound tourism. The fact that over a million people have visited our shared exhibition space clearly shows that Slovakia is presenting itself effectively on the distant Asian market, with visible results in terms of international promotion,” said Director General of Slovakia Travel Matej Fekete.
