Bratislava, 18 June (TASR) - MPs closed the 35th parliamentary session after Wednesday's vote.
They are due to meet again after the traditional summer break, with the next regular sitting being scheduled for 9 September. They have been in session for four weeks. Parliamentary Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) closed the meeting on Wednesday, saying that all of the agenda had been discussed.
A number of bills from MPs as well as opposition motions to oust ministers have been moved to the September sitting. Parliament hasn't yet approved the government's amendment to the Constitution, the vote on which has also been postponed until September.
Although Parliament voted on Wednesday on the vetoed law concerning life annuities for prosecutors, another vetoed law was postponed until September, namely the act on the so-called COVID amnesties. President Peter Pellegrini doesn't agree that all those who were fined during the pandemic for violating any pandemic measures should be compensated.
