Bratislava, 18 June (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini is scheduled to leave for Ljubljana on Thursday (19 June) morning for a two-day visit to Slovenia, TASR was told by the President Office's communications department on Wednesday.
The aim of the trip is to develop and promote bilateral and economic relations. The head of state will discuss current foreign policy, transatlantic relations and energy security with Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar.
"The working trip of the head of state fits in thematically with the context of the president's visits to the Western Balkan countries, which Slovakia and Slovenia support in their integration into the European Union," said the office.
Pellegrini will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs Ministry State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec. The delegation will also include a group of Slovak entrepreneurs who cooperate with the port of Koper.
