MPs Okay Amending Proposals But Haven't Yet Voted to Change Constitution

Bratislava, 17 June (TASR) - MPs on Tuesday voted only on amending proposals to the government's amendment to the Constitution. Parliament supported the amendment, which contains the conditions of the opposition parties Christian Democrats (KDH) and Christian Union (KU). The House didn't approve the proposal of the coalition Voice-SD party to drop single (nationwide) electoral district from the Constitution. The amendment as a whole should be voted on in the autumn. am
