Bratislava, 16 June (TASR) - Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) is scheduled to travel to the Vatican on Tuesday (17 June) for an official visit, the ministry's communications department told TASR on Monday, adding that the foreign trip is aimed at confirming the intensive political dialogue between Slovakia and the Holy See.
Blanar will be received at the Vatican by Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organisations of the Secretariat of State of the Holy See. "In addition to Slovak-Vatican relations, the partners will discuss current foreign policy issues. In particular, the topics of the meeting will be the possibilities for a peaceful end to the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East and the related crisis of multilateralism," said the ministry, adding that they will also address migration, humanitarian aid, the protection of Christian communities and artificial intelligence.
