ARDAL: Slovakia Borrows €526 million in June Government Bond Auction

Bratislava, 16 June (TASR) - Slovakia has borrowed almost €526 million in June's auction of government bonds, with total demand from investors reaching €1.67 billion, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) announced on Monday. ARDAL sold four kinds of bonds with maturity dates ranging from 2031 to 2051. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.9 percent p.a. and 4.1 percent p.a. Slovakia obtained the highest sum (€190 million) from a sale of bonds with a maturity date in 2035. Investor demand in the auction totalled €931 million. The average accepted yield on maturity stood at 3.4310 percent p.a. Another auction of bonds maturing in 2033 brought in an additional €162.6 million, with total demand from investors reaching €292 million. The average accepted yield in this case stood at 3.2675 percent p.a. Bonds with the longest maturity period, ending in 2051, brought €112.3 million into state coffers, with demand totalling €211.3 million and the average yield at 4.1232 percent p.a. The state gained the lowest sum from bonds with the shortest maturity date of 2031. Bonds worth €60.8 million were sold at an average accepted yield of 2.9429 percent, with total investor demand of €238.3 million. Slovakia borrowed almost €607 million in the previous government bond auction in May, with total demand from investors reaching €1.626 billion. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.3 percent p.a. for bonds maturing in 2028 and 3.5 percent p.a. for bonds maturing in 2035. ko/df
