Nitra: Cardinal Duka to Lead Mass during National Pilgrimage

Nitra, June 14 (TASR) - Cardinal and Archbishop Emeritus of Prague Dominik Duka will be the main celebrant of this year's solemn pontifical Holy Mass that will form part of the Cyril and Methodius National Pilgrimage, TASR was told by spokesman for the Nitra Bishopric Tibor Ujlacky, adding that the Mass will take place in Nitra on 5 July. The original main celebrant should have been Cardinal Prevost, who is now Pope Leo XIV. The pilgrimage programme will continue at Nitra Castle with the traditional Open Day. Visitors will be able to visit the historical premises and interior of the Bishop's Palace, which is open only one day a year, on the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius. The Cathedral - St. Emeram's Basilica, the Bishop's Gardens and the exhibitions of the Diocesan Museum will also be open to the public. am/df
