Bratislava, 13 June (TASR) - The Slovak Police Corps have been taking extraordinary security measures since early Friday morning in response to Israel's military attack against Iran, the police have posted on a social network, adding that the public can expect an increased presence of patrols in selected locations.
The police further announced that they are engaged in intensive exchange of information about the attack with other security forces at home and abroad.
Israel launched strikes on Iran’s critical nuclear sites on Friday night, claiming that Iran will soon be able to produce a nuclear weapon. In reaction, Iran said that the attacks confirm its need to proceed in uranium enrichment and strengthen its missile arsenal. It promised to take retaliatory measures. The Israeli army on Friday morning confirmed that it began to shoot down Iranian drones sent by Tehran to its territory.
