Drucker: Partnership With NVIDIA to Help Slovakia Develop Own AI Solutions

Paris, 11 June (TASR) - The Slovak Education Ministry has entered into a partnership with global AI leader NVIDIA to develop and optimise large language models (LLMs) that reflect Slovakia’s linguistic and cultural specificities, stated NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on Wednesday in Paris, TASR has been told by the Slovak ministry's communications department. "Thanks to this partnership, we'll be able to develop language models tailored to our needs and environment. This is a key step towards Slovakia being able to responsibly develop its own AI solutions - in education, research, public administration, health care, and other areas that have direct impact on people's quality of life. We're thus building our professional capacity and strengthening our technological sovereignty," said Slovak Education Minister Tomas Drucker. The ministry has joined the NVIDIA initiative to bring together countries, research institutions and technology partners to develop large national language models (LLMs). The aim is to build open and high-quality AI solutions that will support the development of industry, education and public services.
