MPs Reject Resolution Condemning Missile Attacks in Ukraine

Bratislava, 10 June (TASR) - MPs in a vote on Tuesday didn't adopt a resolution condemning missile attacks carried out by Russia on the civilian population and civilian infrastructure of the Ukrainian cities of Kryvyi Rih and Sumy in April. The resolution was submitted by the opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party. MP Ondrej Dostal (SaS) also proposed a new wording for the resolution by which he wanted to have Parliament repeal its resolution on rejecting the sanctions policy against Russia that MPs greenlighted last week. The plenum didn't support this motion, either. Last Thursday (5 June), the House approved a resolution rejecting the sanctions policy and trade restrictions against Russia if they would harm Slovakia's economic and energy interests. am/df
