Pellegrini Congratulates New Polish President, Invites Him to Visit Slovakia

Bratislava, June 2 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini on Monday sent a telegram to Karol Nawrocki, congratulating him on his election as Polish President and inviting him on an official visit to Slovakia, TASR has learnt from the President's Office's communications department. "Slovakia and Poland are good neighbours, reliable allies and constructive partners. In today's changing world, full of challenges, our mutual cooperation within NATO's eastern flank, as well as within the European Union, is crucial for the security and stability of the entire region," stated Pellegrini. At the same time, he spoke about the importance of a comprehensive and open dialogue between the two countries' heads of state. Pellegrini believes that this spirit will continue with the newly-elected president of Poland. ko/df
