Prosecutors Council Condemns Threatening Messages Sent to PG Zilinka

Bratislava, 29 May (TASR) - The Slovak Prosecutors Council strongly condemns the threatening mobile phone messages that have been sent to Prosecutor-General (PG) Maros Zilinka and his family members, its chairman Stanislav Jakubcik has informed TASR. "Such actions appear to be of a recurring nature, as similar threats were made against prosecutor Daniel Lipsic and his family members in March 2025," stated the council. The council views it as necessary to again call on the general public to refrain from attacks on prosecutors and their family members for any reason or motive. The police have launched a criminal investigation into the crime of spreading an alarming message in connection with threats made against PG Maros Zilinka and his wife. ko/df
