Bratislava, 25 May (TASR) - According to a recent survey, the people of Slovakia rank among the nations with the greatest enthusiasm for travelling abroad.
Despite economic pressures and growing inflation, as many as 74 percent of people are planning more than one holiday abroad. At the same time, Slovaks are more price-sensitive and actively search for cheaper travel options.
Airline tickets are most often purchased at work or after a tough day, online ticket seller Kiwi.com has reported, based on the results of its survey.
The survey also revealed that the destination choices of Slovak travellers include both European and more distant locations. According to the ticket seller, based on summer flight bookings, people are planning trips not only to traditionally popular countries such as Italy, Spain and Greece, but also to other interesting destinations.
"The biggest leaps in the top destinations ranking were made by Croatia, Bulgaria, Malta and Cyprus, making them 2025 summer trend destinations," said Kiwi.com spokesperson Daniela Chovancova.
The survey data was collected in six countries — Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Spain. The survey focused on young adults aged 18 to 37 who plan to take at least one flight this year.
