Premier Fico Leaves for Official Visit to Armenia on Sunday

Bratislava, 25 May (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) left for an official visit to Armenia on Sunday afternoon, TASR has learnt from the Government Office's press department. Fico is scheduled to meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian and Premier Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan. Deepening of bilateral relations and intensification of economic cooperation between the countries will be high on the agenda of their talks. Fico will also lay a wreath at the monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-18. "During his visit, Robert Fico will open the event called 'Yerevan Dialogue', aimed at Slovak-Armenian relations, as well as Armenia's cooperation with the European Union. Geopolitical issues will be discussed at the event as well," said the office. A group of businessmen, interested in intensifying economic cooperation between the two countries, are traveling to Armenia along with the premier. "The premier will return to Slovakia on Tuesday (27 May)," said the Government Office. ko
