President to Deliver State of Republic Address in Parliament on Wednesday

Bratislava, 23 May (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini will take the floor in Parliament with his State of the Republic address at 10 a.m. next Wednesday (28 May), according to the agenda of the upcoming parliamentary session. It will be Pellegrini's first appearance in Parliament as president. The head of state had originally planned to speak in Parliament in February. He told TASR at the end of 2024 that he'd deliver addresses in the House during the year in any serious situation. Pellegrini's predecessors Zuzana Caputova and Andrej Kiska also presented their annual reports on the state of the republic. Pellegrini took office as president on 15 June 2024. am/df
