Voice-SD: Kotlar Should Return to Task Assigned by Government

Bratislava, 23 May (TASR) - Government Proxy for Investigating COVID-19 Pandemic Management Peter Kotlar should focus on the task assigned to him by the government — delivering a report on pandemic management, stated the Voice-SD party in response to Kotlar's statements at a press conference on Friday. "Slovakia is still waiting for clear answers on how the pandemic was managed, who bore responsibility for unnecessary casualties and the state's level of debt, and what lessons we must learn from this to prevent similar failures from happening again,” stated Voice-SD spokesperson Michaela Eliasova. "Instead of more public statements that only deepen confusion and polarisation, we sincerely urge Mr. Kotlar to return to the work expected of him by the public – in the public interest and in the interest of truth," she added. On Friday, Kotlar criticised statements by Voice-SD representatives and President Peter Pellegrini, who had voiced their criticism of the proxy's COVID-19 vaccines review. The proxy stated that by discrediting the work of SNS and Smer-SD, Voice-SD is attempting to halt its declining poll numbers. lin/df
