Bratislava, May 22 (TASR) - If general elections had been held in April, Progressive Slovakia (PS) would have won with 20.9 percent of the vote, followed by the Smer-SD party, supported by 19.1 percent of voters, according to a Focus agency poll conducted for the 360tka news portal. A total of seven parties would have entered Parliament. The third largest support would have gone to the Voice-SD party with 10.6 percent of the vote. Also making it to Parliament would have been the Republic (7.9 percent), 'Slovakia' (7.8 percent), the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH, 7.3 percent), and Freedom and Solidarity (SaS, 6.8 percent). Among the parties that would have stayed outside Parliament are Magyar Szovetseg–Hungarian Alliance (4.6 percent), Democrats (4.6 percent), the Slovak National Party (SNS, 3.9 percent), and We Are Family (3.2 percent). Based on the poll results, PS would have gained 39 seats in parliament, Smer-SD 36, and Voice-SD 20. Republic would have garnered 15 seats, Slovakia 14, and both KDH and SaS 13 seats each. The survey was conducted on a sample of 1,000 respondents between May 12 and May 19. mf
