Prime Minister Robert Fico to Leave for Tirana on Friday for EPC Meeting

Bratislava, May 15 (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) is due to travel to Tirana on Friday (May 16) to attend a meeting of the European Political Community (EPC), the Government Office's press department told TASR on Thursday, adding that leaders from across the European continent will meet in Albania to discuss 'A new Europe in a new world: unity - cooperation - joint action'. Presidents and prime ministers will discuss security and a shared vision for Europe's future. A total of 47 heads of state and premiers have been invited to the sixth meeting of the European Political Community. The next EPC meeting will take place in Denmark in the autumn of this year. The first EPC summit took place in Prague in October 2022 and was attended by representatives of 44 European countries. The EPC is an initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron aimed at enabling closer dialogue with partners outside the European Union on key issues affecting the entire European continent. am/df
