KBS: Slovak Bishops Set to Attend Inaugural Mass of Pope Leo XIV

Bratislava, May 14 (TASR) - Nine Slovak bishops are scheduled to attend the inaugural Mass of Pope Leo XIV in St Peter's Square in the Vatican City on Sunday (May 18), TASR was told by the KBS press office. They will be led to Rome by Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS) head and Kosice Archbishop Bernard Bober. The bishops will travel with the delegation of President Peter Pellegrini. "We're happy to thank God at the Vatican itself for the new gift to the Church in the person of the new Holy Father Leo XIV," said Bober. "We pray that the Lord will grant him wisdom, strength, discernment and spiritual fidelity to the Church. I invite everyone in Slovakia to pray for the new Pope," added the KBS head. am/df
