Minister Blanar to Attend Informal Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Turkey

Bratislava, May 14 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar will attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Antalya, Turkey, on Wednesday and Thursday, where they will continue preparations for the upcoming NATO leaders' summit in The Hague at the end of June and take part in a working dinner hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, TASR has learnt from the Slovak ministry's communications department. The main topics of discussion among the NATO's ministers will include adjusting defence spending, the potential of the defence industry, cooperation with partner countries, and the future of transatlantic relations, with the aim of reaffirming the principle of collective defence and strengthening NATO's European pillar. The Slovak ministry also noted that the meeting will take place at a time of significant geopolitical change, which is also dominated by the issue of a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine. lin
