Stats: All Monitored Sectors of Economy Saw Revenue Growth in March

Bratislava, May 13 (TASR) - All five sectors of the economy monitored notched up year-on-year (y-o-y) revenue growth in March 2025, with growth pace even accelerating in the three of them, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Industry, the biggest sector of the economy, posted the most significant growth of 10.3 percent in revenues in fixed prices in March. The most significant impact came from the double-digit growths in revenues in the production of transport vehicles (22.4 percent) and in the production of computers, electronic and optical products (27.3 percent). Revenues in the production of metals grew by 9 percent. Revenues in selected market services rose by 6.2 percent y-o-y, while those in transport and warehousing went up by 4 percent. Revenues in the IT sector were 5.1 percent higher than a year ago. Construction companies saw revenue increase by 14.4 percent y-o-y, going up for the fourth month in a row. Seasonally adjusted, revenues rose in monthly terms in mere two of the five sectors monitored, particularly in the IT sector (1.5 percent) and in selected market services (1.2 percent). Meanwhile, revenues in industry fell by 0.6 percent and those in transport and warehousing by 0.1 percent. Revenues in construction recorded a monthly decline of 2.5 percent. Three months into 2025, revenues for own goods and services grew in all the five monitored sectors of the economy. Revenues in industry increased by 5.8 percent, in selected market services by 4.9 percent, in transport and warehousing by 4.7 percent, in the IT sector by 2.2 percent and in construction by 14 percent. ko
