Bratislava, May 13 (TASR) - Most sectors posted year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in labour force in March 2025, with employment going up only in three of the ten monitored sectors, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Employment rose in accommodation, in selected market services and in pubs and restaurants. Conversely, it declined in seven sectors, with the most significant drops seen in wholesale (3.7 percent) and in transport and warehousing (2.2 percent). In the first three months of 2025, employment decreased y-o-y in seven of the ten monitored sectors. The changes in the number of employed in individual sectors ranged between -2.5 in wholesale and 3.2 percent in accommodation. ko
