Lviv, May 9 (TASR) - Foreign Affairs Ministry State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec participated in an informal meeting of European Union (EU) foreign affairs ministers in Lviv on Friday, TASR reports based on the ministry's press release. "The continuation of the negotiations from Warsaw represented an informal discussion, we didn't adopt any official conclusions, but rather had the opportunity to coordinate positions between member states," said Chovanec. The state secretary reiterated that Slovakia supports Ukraine's accession to the EU. However, he pointed out that it is necessary for the admission procedure to remain transparent, fair, with equal conditions being applied to all. The meeting was attended by 16 representatives at ministerial level and 11 others at the level of state secretaries or below. The partners held talks with Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Andriy Sybiha about the current developments in the peace negotiations concerning the conflict in Ukraine and the Union's role in the peace process. The Slovak Republic supports all peace initiatives leading towards the as soon as possible end of the war in Ukraine through diplomacy, added the ministry. ko
