Nitra, May 7 (TASR) - The Nitra Military History Club (KVH) was set up in February 2016 and currently has 20 members who perform at various events in uniforms and equipment of the Red Army, Wehrmacht or the army of the Slovak state.
Club member Jan Lenicky pointed out that as part of their activities they participate in combat demonstrations, commemorative events and are also engaged in educational activities.
The Nitra KVH focuses on the history of the Second World War from 1944 to the liberation of Slovakia in 1945. "We all love history, someone is interested in the Soviet army, another in the German army, and that was probably the main reason for the formation of our club - interest in history and the desire to convey to people how it was, how the fighting looked like during the Second World War," said Matej Miskolci of the Nitra KVH.
