ZSSK Experiences Ticket Sales Outage, Recommends SMS Tickets

Bratislava, May 6 (TASR) - State-run rail-passenger carrier ZSSK is suffering from an outage of its ticket sales system, ZSSK spokesman Dominik Drevicky stated on Tuesday, adding that it's currently not possible to purchase train tickets via the mobile application or the ZSSK e-shop. Ticket offices equipped with terminals with comprehensive passenger facilities are also temporarily out of operation. The reason for this is an outage on servers. ZSSK recommends that passengers should purchase SMS tickets. Tickets can also be purchased directly on board trains, but there is a service charge. ZSSK pointed out that the technical problem is on the side of the external IT supplier and that they are working intensively to fix it. am/df
