Media: TA3 Plans to Continue Carrying out its Role of News Broadcaster

Bratislava, May 5 (TASR) - The TA3 television has reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its role as a news broadcaster, even in light of potential changes in how politicians approach the current structure of televised political debates, TASR learnt from TA3's Director of External Relations Igor Cekirda on Monday. This statement comes in response to Prime Minister Robert Fico’s (Smer-SD) recent proposal to scrap Sunday's political talk shows. “TA3 broadcasts the most political discussions daily. In doing so, it fulfills its mission as a news channel to inform and present the broadest spectrum of viewpoints. TA3 will continue to uphold this role, even if there are changes in how political figures engage with the current broadcasting structure of political debates,” the network explained. TA3 also highlighted that its Sunday show 'V politike' (In Politics) is its most-watched program and has become a staple of the channel. “Every Sunday during the airing of 'V politike', TA3 ranks number one on the market among the universal 12+ demographic. On average, the show reaches 305,000 viewers aged 12 and over. This indicates that Sunday has become the day when viewers expect a summary of the week's most important political topics,” the statement added. mf
