Bratislava, May 5 (TASR) - The Biomedical Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) has declared that it will approach the task of preparing an analysis of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 with the utmost emphasis on expertise, transparency, and scientific integrity, and will do everything possible to meet the deadline, which is set for June 30 , TASR has learnt from SAV communication and media department's Katarina Galikova.
"The content of the mandate is identical to the content of the government resolution. The deadline for preparing the report is set for June 30, 2025. The task is quite broad and vague, and given its scope, this deadline is very short. However, we'll do our utmost to meet the deadline," she stated in the statement.
Last week, Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) asked the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) to test samples of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19. He did so after the government tasked him in April with requesting the Biomedical Centre of SAV to prepare a comprehensive report on the quantitative analysis for the presence of DNA and other substances in selected retention batches of vaccines used against COVID-19 in Slovakia. At the same time, the centre should draw up an expert and scientific opinion of the impact of the present substances in the human body.
