Liberation80: Seven Military Graves Located in Forests above Village of Rybnik

Rybnik, May 2 (TASR) - There are seven military graves, in the forests of the Krivin nature reserve near the village of Rybnik (Nitra region), which remind that the local area was a place of heavy fighting during the Second World War. The grave sites in these remote places might almost have been forgotten if members of the Military History Club (KVH) hadn't decided a few years ago to return them to their proper form and respect. The KVH is currently initiating the creation of an educational trail to point to the area's wartime history, including through these graves. One of the founding members of the club Peter Kovac told TASR that there are no sources for tourists in the micro-region and its surroundings that would inform them about what happened in 1919, 1944 and 1945 in this place. They therefore plan to mark out a tourist trail with around eleven information boards. am/mcs
