Dula, May 2 (TASR) - The Auto Technic Club (ATK) Dulov (Trencin region) has been restoring and preserving old military vehicles to their original form for over a decade, TASR has learnt from the association's chairman Martin Dobrodenka. Around 80 percent of the vehicles date back to the Second World War. After renovation and restoration to working condition, the old military vehicles are rented out to film companies, but they also participate in various historical events each year. The most notable events are the 'Tank Days Laugaricio' in Trencianske Stankovce (Trenicn region) and 'Sahara Slovakia' in the Zahorie region. They also take part in numerous historical combat vehicle demonstrations across the Czech Republic and throughout Slovakia. Dobrodenka inherited his passion for historical vehicles from his father and uncle, who were involved in restoring and manufacturing historical military equipment for filmmakers nearly fifty years ago. Their work has been featured in several war films and TV series. lin/mcs
