Mala Lehota, April 30 (TASR) - Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) before Wednesday's away-from-home government session in the village of Mala Lehota (Banska Bystrica region) announced that he asked the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) to test samples of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 on Tuesday (April 29).
"It will be all samples, as I've already said. There are some technicalities, so they will have to approach the State Institute for Drug Control from a procedural viewpoint," said Sasko, adding that he intends to visit the SAV in person as well.
The government last week tasked Sasko with asking the SAV's Biomedical Centre as soon as possible to prepare a comprehensive report on a quantitative analysis for the presence of DNA and other substances in selected retention batches of vaccines used against COVID-19 in Slovakia. At the same time, the centre should draw up an expert opinion on the impact of substances present in the human body. The cabinet also instructed the minister to stop accepting further vaccines against COVID-19 until the results of this report are presented.
