Bratislava/Mala Lehota, April 30 (TASR) - Interior Minister and Voice-SD leader Matus Sutaj Estok intends to present a proposal at the next Coalition Council meeting aimed at stabilising the situation with political parties in Slovakia. Sutaj Estok talked, for example, about increase in the election caution. He said that the Coalition Council should meet in upcoming days. "Yesterday I spoke to Slovak National Party (SNS) leader Andrej Danko, who also supports the idea of increasing the election deposit. A the next Coalition Council meeting, I will present to my partners an amendment to the law on political parties, which might contribute to stabilising the situation with political parties in Slovakia, since we are probably the world record holders in the number of political parties," said Sutaj Estok before the away-from-home government session held in the village of Mala Lehota (Banska Bystrica region) on Wednesday. The minister believes that political parties should contribute, at least symbolically, to consolidation. Sutaj Estok wants to bring such a solution to the election deposit that would comply with the constitutional framework. He said already during the weekend that he's ready to discuss the public administration reform. He can imagine that parties that fail to make it to Parliament wouldn't receive contributions for their result in the general election. A deposit necessary for parties to run in elections could be increased from €17,000 to €100,000, he said. ko
