Hotel Wellness on Fire in Kosice Region (2)

Vinne/Bratislava, March 6 (TASR) - A hotel wellness area is on fire in the village of Vinne (Kosice region), TASR learnt from spokesperson of the regional Kosice Firefighter and Emergency Corps Directorate Jozef Balint on Thursday. Fifteen professional firefighters and eight volunteers have already been despatched to combat the flames, with others due to join them. "According to preliminary information, hotel guests have been evacuated even before the arrival of the firefighters," stated Balint and added that no fatalities or injures have been reported. The Kosice regional police reported that about 15 individuals have been evacuated unharmed. "According to preliminary information, the fire started at the sauna area on the second floor," the police posted on its social media, adding that the cause of the fire is the subject of investigation. mf
