Police: Man in Gelnica Allegedly Set on Fire by Child, Dies from Injuries

Gelnica, February 10 (TASR) - A man who was set on fire in the centre of Gelnica (Kosice region) on Sunday, February 9, has died from his injuries, with the fire allegedly started by a child, and the police have initiated a criminal investigation into the matter, TASR has learnt from a Kosice region police post on social media. "A 28-year-old man suffered extensive burns after a minor deliberately set his clothing on fire, according to preliminary findings," stated the police, adding that the minor is too young to be held criminally liable for the act. The case is being investigated by the criminal police in Spisska Nova Ves (Kosice region). lin/df
