Bratislava, November 30 (TASR) - MP Samuel Migal (Voice-SD) has criticised the coalition Slovak National Party (SNS) for not commenting on the amendments to the laws on sport and the Sports Support Fund, the lawmaker himself told TASR in response to the criticism levied by SNS, which called on him to reconsider his approach to the amendments. According to Migal, Parliamentary Vice-chair and SNS leader Andrej Danko disagrees with the proposed changes concerning increased control in the fund's board of directors and the expansion of the areas of support. "Mr Danko and SNS haven't expressed their opinion on the comments to the Sports Act to date, they haven't presented a single change in their proposal in favour of athletes, despite the fact that athletes have raised several pages of factual proposals in the inter-ministerial comment procedure," said Migal, adding that the proposals stem from their practice in relation to clubs and associations and SNS is trying to create the impression that these proposals are unsystematic. The coalition SNS party described MP Migal's actions as a gross abuse of the political situation. According to them, Migal's actions endanger the "historically" largest financial package for sport of €60 million. The party pointed out that both the laws on sport and the Sports Support Fund had gone through a proper legislative process and added that it feels sorry that Migal hadn't tabled an amendment at either stage. am
