Kosice: Access to Municipal Office Building Restricted Due to Bomb Alert

Kosice, September 3 (TASR) - Access to the building of the municipal office in Kosice is currently restricted due to a bomb alert, Jana Polova of the municipal office's marketing and PR department told TASR on Tuesday. According to Polova, the municipal office received a threatening email in which it was stated that an explosive had been placed on the chassis of a car in the adjacent carpark. "The police are taking security measures in order to confirm or disprove this suspicion," she said. Polova confirmed that the headteachers of several schools under the remit of Kosice municipality have received anonymous emails with bomb threats. Some 270 schools across Slovakia reportedly received such emails on Tuesday morning. Police officers have been carrying out searches, but no explosives have been found so far. ko/df
